Vice President, North American B2B Secular Shift

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Vice President to lead the North American B2B Secular Shift initiative. The role focuses on moving B2B payments from traditional methods such as checks, ACH without remittance data, and cash toward card‑based, card‑to‑account, and data‑rich account‑to‑account solutions across the United States and Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the North American B2B Secular Shift vertical strategy and multi‑year roadmap.
• Identify high‑potential target segments, industries, and use cases for card substitution.
• Lead initiatives that increase card adoption, activation, spend, and acceptance at scale.
• Collaborate with Sales, Channels, Partnerships, and global product teams to embed card‑led strategies into acquisition and portfolio management.
• Pilot, measure, and scale programs that drive sustained behavioral change in B2B payments.
• Leverage data, research, and ecosystem feedback to understand payment behaviors and switching barriers.
• Track competitive and fintech trends impacting vertical‑specific payment choices.
• Align stakeholders across product, marketing, analytics, risk, operations, and technology.
• Define KPIs tied to conversion, usage, spend growth, and profitability and report progress to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in B2B payments or related financial services.
• Strong strategic thinking and commercial execution capabilities.
• Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and senior executives.
• Data‑driven mindset with experience translating insights into actionable initiatives.
