Vice President, AI Center of Excellence

About the role

The AI Center of Excellence is seeking a Vice President to lead the delivery and scaling of enterprise AI products and agentic AI solutions across Mastercard. This senior people‑manager role oversees a global AI engineering organization, moving AI from experimentation to production‑grade, reusable assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end AI engineering delivery from design through production deployment and value realization.
• Build and scale reusable AI assets, multi‑agent orchestration patterns, workflow automation and shared components.
• Partner with Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, Data, Security, Architecture, Risk, Product and business teams to deliver secure, scalable enterprise AI solutions.
• Own production readiness, including reliability, resiliency, observability, scalability and lifecycle management.
• Embed Responsible AI, security, privacy, governance, compliance and auditability throughout the engineering lifecycle.
• Drive adoption, measure product performance, customer impact, productivity, risk reduction and business outcomes.
• Lead and develop a global organization of AI engineering leaders, architects and engineers, fostering talent and engineering excellence.

Required profile

• Extensive leadership experience in AI engineering, software or product engineering, or enterprise technology delivery.
• Proven success delivering and scaling enterprise AI products, agentic AI applications or intelligent automation platforms.
• Experience leading production technology in highly regulated environments with accountability for security, resiliency, governance and compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to drive complex, cross‑functional engineering delivery at enterprise scale.
• Strong people‑leadership track record, including building high‑performing global engineering teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or related field (master’s preferred).
