VC Associate

About the role

Toyota Ventures is seeking a VC Associate to join its Frontier Fund team. You will help source, evaluate, and support early‑stage deep‑tech and climate‑focused startups worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Network at industry and VC events to generate high‑potential deal flow.
• Meet with founders, conduct initial evaluations, and recommend investments.
• Lead due‑diligence, competitive analyses, and deep‑dive industry research.
• Prepare investment memos and present opportunities to the Investment Committee.
• Support deal negotiations, term‑sheet preparation, and closings.
• Analyze market trends and author research briefings.
• Collaborate with the Toyota Ventures platform team to assist portfolio companies.

Required profile

• 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably in venture capital or a technology‑focused operational role.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong integrity, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential information.
• Well‑networked within the deep‑tech startup ecosystem.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
