UW Operations Lead – Cyber & Political Violence

About the role

Mosaic is seeking a North America Agency Underwriting Operations Lead to own day‑to‑day underwriting operations for its Cyber and Political Violence product lines. The role will manage both on‑shore and offshore teams, ensuring smooth policy lifecycle support, system implementations and high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead underwriting operations for Cyber (CY) and Political Violence (PV) lines, covering policy lifecycle, system roll‑outs, workflows, procedures and reporting.
• Manage daily agency underwriting activities, acting as the primary liaison with North America underwriting teams.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with operational rules.
• Coordinate with international agency operations to guarantee global governance, process consistency and clear communication.
• Serve as escalation point for offshore operational issues, overseeing service levels, KPIs, quality, audit and benchmarking.
• Identify and implement process improvements to maximize offshore capabilities.
• Conduct monthly underwriting meetings to review reporting, submission status, query trends and processing timelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing underwriting or insurance operations, preferably with cyber or political‑risk products.
• Strong leadership skills with experience overseeing offshore teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on process optimisation and performance metrics.
