Union Helper – Community Maintenance

About the role

The Union Helper supports the overall appearance and functionality of the community by maintaining common areas, amenities, and vacant units. Working closely with the service team, this role ensures that the property remains clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Clean leasing office, clubhouse, restrooms, model units, amenities, and vacant apartments daily or as directed.
• Refresh vacant and show units throughout the day to keep market‑ready appeal.
• Assist the Head Janitor, Community Manager, and Assistant Manager with make‑ready tasks.
• Inspect the property to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, keeping all common areas tidy.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments, transport it to dumpsters or storage, and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor service requests and support the make‑ready specialist during unit turn‑over.
• Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance complaints.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete OSHA and related training, and report accidents accurately.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning standards.
• Good communication skills and a respectful attitude toward residents and team members.
• Willingness to work Thursday through Monday schedule.
• Commitment to safety protocols and reporting procedures.
