Underwriting Specialist / Executive Underwriter – Financial Lines

About the role

Zurich is seeking an experienced underwriter to join its Wholesale Financial Lines team, focusing on the wholesale broker channel. The role involves underwriting and financial analysis of financial institution risks, with responsibilities spanning product development, marketing, fulfillment, and portfolio management.

Key responsibilities

• Generate, underwrite, and analyze new and renewal policies for financial institutions.
• Serve as a market‑facing point of contact for wholesale brokers.
• Administer underwriting rules, insurance laws, regulations, and rating manual guidelines.
• Work within broad limits on highly complex assignments and manage a portfolio of accounts.
• Collaborate and cross‑sell with other stakeholders and lines of business within Zurich.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant underwriting, claims, or underwriting support experience (3‑10 years depending on level).
• Knowledge of line‑of‑business, legal and regulatory guidelines, and quote time restraints.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
