About the role
The Trust Officer will manage client trust accounts, grow existing portfolios, and develop new business opportunities while ensuring compliance with trust policies and regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Administer trust, guardianship, custodian, and IRA accounts, including daily transaction reviews and client distributions.
- Conduct client interviews, presentations, and regular investment reviews with the Investment Officer.
- Prepare financial profiles, analyze market data, and recommend investment or trust alternatives.
- Maintain accurate client documentation, oversee system coding, and ensure timely settlement of estates.
- Cross‑sell other bank products, respond to employee benefit inquiries, and cultivate referrals.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience, including customer service or sales.
- Strong analytical, decision‑making, and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing workload efficiently.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of trust account systems and related software.
- Ability to interpret legal documents and trust regulations.
