Travel Medical Assistant – Temporary/Seasonal (Texas)

About the role

We are seeking three Texas‑based Medical Assistants to provide in‑home Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and other preventive‑care services across the state. The position is temporary/seasonal, running through January 2027, with variable hours based on patient volume.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled in‑home visits for Medicare Annual Wellness and preventive‑care appointments.
• Take vital signs, perform screenings, and execute approved point‑of‑care tests.
• Document all findings accurately while following clinical, safety, HIPAA and infection‑control protocols.
• Travel throughout Texas (and occasionally nearby states) using a personal vehicle; mileage reimbursed.
• Manage travel logistics, including mileage, overnight expenses, rental cars, hotels and meals.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Valid Medical Assistant certificate, diploma or credential.
• Active driver’s license, reliable vehicle with current registration and insurance.
• Ability to work independently in patients’ homes and meet vaccination/TB screening requirements.

What we offer

• $35 per hour (W‑2), non‑exempt.
• Mileage reimbursement at $0.725 per mile.
• Coverage of travel‑related expenses, including transportation, rental cars, lodging and meals.
• Potential for contract extension beyond January 2027.
