Training and Education Specialist II

About the role

The Training and Education Specialist II supports the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council (DVCC) by designing, delivering, and managing a wide range of training programs and outreach activities. This role balances classroom instruction, virtual webinars, and in‑person sessions while collaborating with statewide partners and law‑enforcement agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver instructor‑led, on‑the‑job, and virtual training courses on domestic violence, intimate partner, and sexual violence topics.
• Organize training materials, handouts, audiovisual equipment, and specialized resources to ensure effective learning experiences.
• Manage DVCC training requests, maintain course schedules, rosters, and participation records.
• Collect and analyze feedback through surveys, evaluations, and interviews to assess training quality and recommend improvements.
• Provide technical guidance on training methods, evidence‑based practices, and assist with grant deliverables.
• Support DVCC conferences, law‑enforcement trainings, and outreach events, including social‑media coordination.
• Utilize automated information systems to document, report, and track training activities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma‑informed approaches for individuals impacted by domestic violence.
• Subject‑matter expertise in dynamics of domestic, intimate partner, or sexual violence.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer software and automated information systems for training management.
• Experience organizing and delivering both in‑person and virtual training sessions.
• Data collection and analysis skills for evaluating training effectiveness.
