Trailer Mechanic – Full-Time (Otsego, MN)

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Trailer Mechanic for its Otsego, MN Service Center. This full‑time position works Monday‑Friday on various shifts, offering immediate PTO and a competitive hourly rate.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repair work, and routine maintenance on company trailers.
• Conduct safety inspections and prepare required documentation in compliance with FMCSA and other regulations.

Required profile

• Experience performing safety inspections and creating safety documents for federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and lift at least 50 lb.
• Own tools, dependable, and able to work in varying climate conditions.

Required skills

• Repairing or replacing defective parts and components.
• Testing equipment to ensure performance meets manufacturer specifications.
• Trailer preventive maintenance (PM) and repairs.
• Use of Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System.
• Welding and sheet‑metal/composite panel repair.
• Operating yard tractors and trailers.
