Tool Shop Line Manufacturing Facilitation Technician

About the role

Airbus is looking for a detail‑oriented Manufacturing Facilitation Technician (MFT) to join its Tool Shop team at the U.S. Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, AL. You will be the primary owner of tool accountability, process improvement and safety compliance on the production floor.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily tool operations and floor management, ensuring calibrated and safe tools are available for production.
• Conduct daily floor walks and toolbox audits to identify damaged tools or safety hazards and enforce 5S and safety standards.
• Participate in L1 and L2 SQCDP meetings to align on production alerts and escalate immediate issues.
• Maintain and repair tools, track tool usage digitally, and drive continuous process improvements.
• Coordinate shift activities and support cross‑functional teams to meet quality, cost, delivery and safety targets.

Required profile

• Proactive, detail‑oriented professional with experience in manufacturing tooling environments.
• Ability to conduct safety audits, enforce compliance and work effectively in a team‑oriented setting.
• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining rigorous digital tracking standards.
