About the role
The Tool Shop Attendant supports the Procurement team at Airbus US Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, AL by managing the tool crib, ensuring tools are available, in good condition, and properly documented.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, store, issue, and track tools and small jigs used in production, including chemicals.
- Inspect tools for wear, defects and coordinate maintenance or calibration activities.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform SAP master data entry and purchase requests.
- Support shop floor activities such as cleaning aircraft clip tools, kitting consumable carts, and participating in daily production meetings.
Required profile
- Experience in logistics or tool management within a manufacturing environment.
- General knowledge of hand and power tools used in the aviation industry.
- Understanding of shop safety, FOD prevention and OSHA regulations.
- High School Diploma or GED; ability to meet physical requirements.
Required skills
- Proficiency with SAP for data collection and inventory management.
- Strong Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
