About the role
Temporary Major Gift Officer (Leave Coverage) will support MSF USA’s fundraising efforts by managing and growing relationships with major donors. Reporting to the Senior Major Gift Officer, the role focuses on a portfolio of approximately 150 donors contributing $25,000 or more annually.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, cultivate, steward, and solicit major donors and prospects.
- Develop and implement individualized solicitation strategies for assigned territory.
- Coordinate with MSF staff to create proposals aligned with donor preferences and priority activities.
- Initiate and manage donor outreach, track engagements, and maintain accurate records in Salesforce CRM.
- Assist in planning and executing regional donor events.
- Conduct preliminary research to support donor prospecting.
Required profile
- Experience managing a portfolio of major donors and delivering stewardship plans.
- Ability to work closely with internal teams to develop donor‑focused proposals.
- Strong organizational skills for tracking engagements and maintaining CRM data.
