Temporary Maintenance Technician (Lease‑Up Property)

About the role

This temporary position supports the day‑to‑day operation of a lease‑up, garden‑style property. The Maintenance Technician ensures that apartments, common areas, and amenities meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests and preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the make‑ready process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and performing general cleaning and painting as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in property or facilities maintenance.
• Ability to follow established procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Strong organizational skills for tracking work orders, inventory, and documentation.
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, climbing ladders, and operating pressure‑wash equipment.
