Temporary General Manager (Property Management)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Temporary General Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of one or more stabilized garden‑style multifamily communities in Kirker Creek. This short‑term position will focus on driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and leading on‑site staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of assigned properties, supervising staff and coordinating resources.
• Develop and monitor budgets, analyze financial statements, and prepare monthly performance reports.
• Set rent rates, collect rent and fees, process bank deposits, and ensure timely posting.
• Approve vendor invoices, verify insurance certificates, and reconcile charges to the appropriate chart‑of‑accounts codes.
• Control expenditures within budget limits and manage petty‑cash funds.
• Oversee lease enforcement, including application approvals, renewals, inspections, evictions, and collection of late fees.
• Monitor market and economic trends to inform pricing and occupancy strategies.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in multifamily property management.
• Experience managing stabilized, garden‑style communities with ~500 units.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday schedule and meet incentive‑based bonus targets.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and related regulations.
