Technician III/IV/Senior Technician I – Electrical Engineering Lab

About the role

Texas A&M Engineering is seeking skilled technicians to support its Electrical Engineering department and nanofabrication facilities. The role involves maintaining a variety of utility and nanofabrication equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and strict compliance with cleanroom standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on facilities, utility systems, and nanofabrication processing equipment.
• Utilize technical manuals, online resources, and OEM representatives to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Maintain equipment operational readiness while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cleanroom cleanliness protocols.
• Document maintenance activities and report equipment status to supervisors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Technician III: entry‑level experience with nanofabrication tools.
• Technician IV: minimum two years of related experience.
• Senior Technician I: minimum four years of related experience.
• Demonstrated hands‑on experience with maintenance and operation of nanofabrication equipment.
