Technician, General Facilities Maintenance - Food Equipment

About the role

Walmart is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to service and maintain commercial food equipment across its stores. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and execute preventative maintenance to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, and food equipment.
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) tasks and document completion.
• Manage work orders, expense vouchers, maintenance logs, and weekly summaries.
• Train store associates on proper equipment care and cleaning.
• Service a wide range of food equipment, including ovens, slicers, fryers, ice makers, and grease/ oil systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, food equipment).
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean record.
• Eligibility for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Strong customer‑service mindset and clear communication.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work collaboratively.
