Technical Writer – Manufacturing

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Technical Writer to produce clear, concise documentation for its autonomous surface vessels. You will translate complex engineering concepts into user‑friendly guides that enable operators to safely and efficiently run the vessels.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to gather technical information.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and internal guides for autonomous vessels.
• Translate complex technical concepts into accessible documentation for end‑users.
• Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards, DoD, and ABS regulations.
• Review and edit documents for accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
• Work closely with production teams to stay aligned with project timelines and milestones.
• Continuously update documentation based on user feedback and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience as a Technical Writer in a technology‑driven or defense environment.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing setting with noise, dust, temperature variations, and confined spaces.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and working independently.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong attention to detail and writing quality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D illustration tools, specifically Creo Illustrate.
• Familiarity with interpreting engineering drawings and the manufacturing lifecycle.
