Technical Instructor – Associate Degree Nursing

About the role

The Technical Instructor will deliver instruction for the Associate Degree Nursing program, preparing students for successful entry into the nursing profession. This position involves classroom and laboratory teaching, curriculum development, and student support.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct courses in the Associate Degree Nursing program according to schedule needs.
• Develop and update instructional resources, including course outlines, lesson plans, handouts, and audiovisual materials.
• Create and maintain detailed syllabi covering course description, competencies, learning outcomes, required texts, tools, and grading procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean laboratory environment and oversee equipment and safety procedures.
• Prepare labs by selecting appropriate learning experiences, ordering supplies, and utilizing instructional technology.
• Keep course content current, organized, and aligned with learning outcomes.
• Submit required paperwork and reports on time, such as booklists, schedules, inventory, and student evaluations.
• Participate in staff development activities based on evaluations, industry changes, and technology updates.

Required profile

• Knowledge of institutional services, degree programs, job placement, financial aid, library, and bookstore resources.
• Familiarity with current trends in nursing education and the healthcare industry.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and complete administrative tasks promptly.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staff training.
