Team Science and Interdisciplinary Research Facilitator

About the role

The Texas A&M University System is seeking a Team Science and Interdisciplinary Research Facilitator to strengthen collaborative research across its campuses. The role will connect faculty, build multidisciplinary teams, and support large‑scale research initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and launch team‑science programs and collaborative research projects.
• Identify faculty with complementary expertise and facilitate partnership formation.
• Organize networking events, research forums, and workshops to promote interdisciplinary interaction.
• Develop and maintain researcher expertise databases and collaboration tools.
• Support proposal development for strategic funding opportunities.
• Engage stakeholders and nurture partnerships with internal and external partners.
• Provide training on effective team‑science practices and collaborative leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least four years of experience in research development, team science, facilitation, or strategic partnerships.
• Strong relationship‑building and facilitation abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and make decisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
