About the role

Jeffer Mangels & Mitchell LLP is seeking a Tax, Trusts & Estates Paralegal to support attorneys in Century City, Los Angeles. The role involves estate planning, trust and estate administration, and related tax and transactional matters in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with post‑death trust administration, including notices, assessor forms, subtrust documents, asset allocation and transfer filings.
• Handle trust funding and transfer of assets such as real property, business interests, and financial accounts.
• Prepare deeds and other documents for real‑estate and asset transfers.
• Review trust and probate accountings.
• Prepare and review federal estate and gift tax returns (Forms 706 and 709).
• Prepare and manage Heggstad petitions and other trust petitions for probate court filing.
• Prepare and oversee probate matters from start to finish.
• File California Form BOE‑100‑B for legal entities.
• Draft estate planning documents including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and ancillary documents.
• Organize, retrieve, review, and maintain client and matter files.
• Conduct legal and factual research related to assigned matters.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience as a Tax, Trusts & Estates Paralegal in a law firm.
• Four‑year college degree or equivalent.
• ABA‑approved paralegal certificate.

Required skills

What we offer

• Base salary ranging from $120,000 to $150,000 per year.
• Hybrid work schedule: four days onsite, one day remote after the initial month.
• Full‑time position located in Century City, Los Angeles.
