Tax Senior Associate

About the role

Join DHJJ as a Tax Senior Associate, working on business, individual, state and local, and high net‑worth tax matters. You’ll collaborate with colleagues both in‑person and remotely, develop deep tax expertise, and advance toward a principal position.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare increasingly complex tax returns with accuracy and minimal supervision.
• Organize project activities, ensuring tasks stay within scope and budget.
• Develop understanding of client businesses to identify opportunities and suggest solutions.
• Coach and support Associates in technical skills, systems, and processes.
• Contribute lessons from client interactions to firm knowledge systems.
• Build effective client relationships through responsive communication.
• Participate in recruiting, proposal development, and research for marketing initiatives.

Required profile

• Pursuing or recently obtained CPA license and eager to help clients.
• Strong desire to advance career and contribute to firm growth.

Required skills

• Understanding of federal tax laws and related regulations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong sense of ownership and personal accountability.
• Ability to produce high‑quality work under deadlines with attention to detail.
