Tax Officer (Private Wealth Management)

About the role
The Tax Officer supports Private Wealth Management clients by preparing and reviewing tax filings and providing strategic tax advice. Working closely with Trust Officers, Relationship Managers, and external advisors, you will help develop tax‑efficient solutions for estates, fiduciary accounts, and individual clients.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state estate, fiduciary, individual, and entity tax returns.
- Research tax questions, monitor legislative changes, and apply findings to client situations.
- Contribute to the design of tax planning strategies and communicate recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Advise Trust Officers, attorneys, and accountants on tax implications affecting account management.
- Develop and review tax plans aimed at minimizing estate and income taxes, with guidance from senior tax staff.
- Maintain accurate tax work‑paper files and related documentation.
- Create financial statements and perform bookkeeping entries for partnerships, corporations, and private foundations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum five years of relevant tax experience.
- Strong technical tax knowledge and ability to explain complex provisions.
- Experience with portfolio accounting and related systems.
- CPA designation preferred.

- Base salary ranging from $110,000 to $150,000 plus annual bonus.
