Tailor – Denim Alterations Specialist

About the role

Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a skilled Tailor to join the Bay Street Store in Emeryville, CA. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will deliver high‑quality alteration services and enhance the overall customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic and technical alteration services, including hemming, patch repairs, tapering, and fitting items beyond jeans.
• Resolve tailor‑related consumer concerns in line with company policy and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Educate and train store teams on Tailor Shop offerings and Levi’s tailoring standards.
• Handle cash and merchandise operations for the Tailor Shop according to store policy.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of sewing/tailoring experience with strong knowledge of denim construction.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb and perform standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching tasks.
• Reliable transportation and age 16 or older.
