System Administrator

About the role

CMA is looking for a motivated Systems Administrator / Cloud Engineer to join its Technology team. This mid‑level position blends traditional on‑premises systems administration with modern cloud engineering across AWS and GCP, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux server environments both on‑premises and in the cloud.
• Design, deploy, and manage AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda) and GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, GKE, BigQuery, Cloud IAM) infrastructure using Terraform.
• Monitor system health, performance, and availability; respond to incidents promptly.
• Manage user accounts and access controls across Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, AWS IAM, and SaaS platforms.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune) and handle licensing and security settings.
• Maintain VMware vSphere/ESXi virtualization, including VM provisioning and host maintenance.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
• Support network components such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and load balancers.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell, Bash, Python, and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
• Collaborate with security teams for compliance and assist with patch management and audits.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in systems administration or cloud engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS and/or GCP; familiarity with both is preferred.
• Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) administration.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity/access management.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, routing).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
