Synthetic Chemist II

About the role

The Synthetic Chemist II will work within the Consumer Products Services division to design, validate and implement organic synthesis projects, with a focus on peptide synthesis, bioconjugation, purification and characterization of target compounds. The role reports to a manager and requires collaboration with senior scientists and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, validate and implement synthesis projects in organic synthesis, peptide synthesis, bioconjugation, purification and characterization of target compounds.
• Maintain accurate records, perform independent data analysis and present results in written and oral formats.
• Troubleshoot synthesis issues, perform instrument maintenance and qualification, and ensure compliance with client policies and good documentation practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related field; advanced training in peptide synthesis or medicinal chemistry preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years wet‑lab research experience, including at least 1 year designing, executing and analyzing synthetic experiments.
• Experience with HPLC purification, small‑molecule and solid‑phase peptide synthesis, and automated SPPS platforms.
