Survivor of Torture Caseworker (Safety & Wellness)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee seeks a dedicated Survivor of Torture Caseworker to provide culturally appropriate, client‑centered case management for program participants in Phoenix. You will guide survivors through eligibility, service planning, and access to community resources while supporting program administration.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive case management services to survivors of torture, including eligibility screening, social and legal assessments, and development of safety plans.
• Coordinate outreach with refugee‑serving agencies, community organizations, and mainstream service providers to ensure linguistically appropriate services.
• Maintain detailed case notes, enter data into the management system, and assist with donor reporting and funding proposals.
• Facilitate client satisfaction and progress surveys as outlined in grant requirements.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Social Work or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of case management experience in a social services setting, preferably with survivors of torture or victims assistance.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the service area.
• Eligibility for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and detail‑oriented abilities.
• Effective cross‑cultural communication and public speaking skills.
