Survey CAD Technician – AutoCAD Civil 3D

About the role

The Survey CAD Technician will create precise technical drawings, maps, and plans using CAD software to support survey projects. This role works closely with surveyors, engineers, and the production team to ensure high‑quality deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update survey drawings, topographical and utility maps in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Convert field data into accurate technical drawings and maintain CAD file organization.
• Perform quality‑control checks and ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Prepare reports and documentation from survey data for project needs.
• Assist field crews with calculations and mapping tasks.
• Analyze deeds and research materials to support survey deliverables.
• Coordinate schedules, monitor daily progress, and review final files for completeness.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of experience in survey CAD drafting.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean record.
• Detail‑oriented, reliable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other CAD systems.
• Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
