Surgery Scheduling Coordinator (Full-Time, Days)

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction in Palm Beach County, is hiring a full-time Surgery Scheduling Coordinator working days. The coordinator schedules all oncology-related surgical procedures and pre-admission testing appointments, coordinating with anesthesia and other resource providers according to provider preferences and patient condition, and works with the JMCPG team, the OR team and related physicians to accommodate departmental customers.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule oncology surgical procedures and pre-admission testing appointments accurately, in coordination with anesthesia and other providers.
• Brainstorm with the JMCPG team, the OR team and related physicians to accommodate departmental customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of healthcare experience in an outpatient setting.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• Knowledge of outpatient procedures and medical terminology.
• Preferred: knowledge of healthcare scheduling software.
• Physical requirements: able to sit for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs and carry up to 20 lbs, with manual dexterity for typing and data entry.
