Supply Chain Functional Training Manager (HDU)

About the role

The Functional Training Manager facilitates training for both virtual and in-person audiences, covering complex operations and tasks that span broad business areas. The role works with cross-functional teams as a subject matter expert for content development and interacts with many levels and functions inside and outside the learning organization. It is a virtual position based in Virginia, reporting to the Manager or Sr. Manager of Learning, with no direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate on special projects as assigned, partnering with the Learning Design & Development team, Learning Strategy, Manager and functional subject matter experts on the development, maintenance and updates of courses (about 20% of the role).
• Facilitate training sessions for large groups, both in person and online, acting as a subject matter expert on content (about 60% of the role).
• Handle administrative support such as calendar planning, attendance and roster management, customer communication and event management (about 20% of the role).
• Manage and support multi-day learning events.

Required profile

• Ages 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED; no additional education required.
• Preferred: demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams, ability to explain complex ideas simply, and experience facilitating training in person and remotely using adult learning principles.
• Preferred: excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Comfortable facilitating large groups in person and online.
• Preferred: working knowledge of presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint.

Travel is typically required 5% to 20% of the time, usually overnight. The pay range for this position is $80,000 to $160,000.
