Supplier Account Manager IV (SAM) – Supply Chain Professional

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an experienced supply chain professional to join as a Supplier Account Manager IV (SAM). This individual contributor role focuses on developing commodity strategies and managing supplier relationships across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develops, aligns and implements commodity strategies.
• Negotiates and manages the maintenance of agreements with suppliers.
• Engages with the PLC process to ensure alignment with commodity strategies.
• Directs new supplier introduction and/or disengagement requirements.
• Drives resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead‑time.
• Develops and presents high‑level cost reduction opportunities.

Required profile

• Demonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in a specialized discipline.
• Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices.
• May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements.
• Leads others to solve complex problems using sophisticated analytical thought.
• Impacts achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives.
• Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt new viewpoints.

What we offer

• Salary range: $116,000 – $159,500 USD.
• Full‑time position located in Phoenix, AZ; Austin, TX; or Santa Clara, CA (onsite).
• Travel up to 10% of the time.
• Relocation eligible.
