About the role
DAEOC is looking for a substitute to support its Head Start/Early Head Start centers in Kennett. The role involves working closely with classroom staff to ensure smooth daily operations and a safe environment for children.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out duties in line with Head Start Performance Standards and program policies.
- Assist classroom staff, engage in classroom operations, and ensure no child is left alone.
- Support assessments, screenings, and data entry as directed.
- Maintain positive relationships with children, families, and staff while promoting program goals.
- Provide families with information about Head Start services and community resources.
- Report any suspected child abuse or neglect according to legal requirements.
Required profile
- Valid Missouri driver’s license.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to report child abuse and neglect as required by law.
- Team‑player attitude with a commitment to punctual attendance.
