About the role

The Office of Student Advocacy and Support at East Texas A&M University is looking for a motivated Student Worker to help manage the Lion Food Pantry and Lion Wardrobe. This on‑campus position offers a chance to support fellow students by ensuring essential resources are organized, accessible, and well‑communicated.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and organize inventory for the food pantry and clothing wardrobe, keeping items stocked, clean, and accessible.
• Track usage, monitor inventory levels, and identify high‑demand items.
• Assist with donation drives, from collection through sorting and storage.
• Create promotional materials such as flyers and social‑media posts to raise awareness.
• Provide front‑desk support, answer questions, and direct students to appropriate resources.
• Perform administrative tasks including data entry and record‑keeping.
• Participate in outreach events and presentations to increase visibility of services.

Required profile

• Current student with a compassionate and detail‑oriented attitude.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage inventory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to work on‑site and interact directly with students.
