Student Success Coaching Coordinator

About the role

The Student Success Coaching Coordinator will lead and coordinate student success coaching initiatives across Georgia Northwestern Technical College campuses. Reporting to the Director of Advisement, this role supports student persistence, retention, and academic progress through collaborative coaching and data‑driven interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver student success coaching services to help students persist in their programs.
• Develop and implement retention strategies for new, at‑risk, and continuing students.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, faculty, and staff to facilitate coaching and academic progress reviews.
• Monitor student attendance, performance, and academic progress; track and report retention data using Banner, KMS, and other tools.
• Assist dual‑enrollment students transitioning to GNTC after high school graduation.
• Coordinate services with college departments and community agencies.
• Participate in training, meetings, and early‑alert teams to support student success.
• Assist with implementation of new software platforms such as Target X and Salesforce.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating student success or advising programs in a higher‑education setting.
• Demonstrated ability to develop retention initiatives and work cross‑functionally.
• Strong analytical skills for monitoring and reporting student data.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Banner student information system.
• Experience using KMS (knowledge management system) for data tracking.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or Target X platforms.
