Sign Language Interpreter (Part‑Time)

About the role

Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter to support deaf and hard‑of‑hearing students across all campus locations. This part‑time position involves on‑site interpreting in classrooms, meetings, testing sessions, and counseling appointments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate ASL interpreting for academic and administrative settings.
• Collaborate with students, instructors, and fellow interpreters to prepare for assignments.
• Travel between campuses as needed to meet operational requirements.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Director of Accessibility Services.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of related interpreting experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and decision‑making skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with standard office software.
