Student Life Specialist (Temporary)

About the role

The Student Life Specialist will support Northeastern University’s Accelerate Pre-College summer programs in Boston, creating an exceptional residential experience for high‑school participants. This temporary, on‑site role includes living in residence hall housing from July 6 to August 8, 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing daily student life programming and special events.
• Build positive, inclusive relationships with participants and provide responsive support to students and families.
• Maintain a safe residential environment, respond to emergencies, and document incidents as needed.
• Collaborate with Student Life Managers, ambassadors, and campus partners to deliver engaging activities and ensure seamless operations.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a bachelor’s degree program.
• Previous leadership experience in student organizations, residence life, summer camps, or similar settings.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Full availability from July 6 – August 7, 2026, including irregular weekday and weekend hours.
• Current or willingness to obtain First Aid, CPR, and Mental Health First Aid certification.

Required skills

• Experience supporting events or programs.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

What we offer

• Hourly pay of $21.
