Strategic Marketing Manager

About the role

This senior individual contributor role is responsible for assessing industry and market trends and setting the framework for strategic decisions. The ideal candidate demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of both technical and commercial environments and leverages semiconductor industry knowledge to identify technology inflections and opportunities, providing recommendations for strategic business direction.

Key responsibilities

• Own monitoring of market analytics, consolidation of metrics and communications related to strategic business operations within Applied Global Services.
• Conduct market intelligence surveys on semiconductor industry landscapes, customer profiles, and peer performance, identifying trends and outliers as actionable insights for business decisions, including modeling and forecasting of customer demand.
• Engage with cross‑functional teams—including Engineering, Finance, Business Development, Operations, and Sales—to gather relevant analysis and support service product development.
• Develop and improve procedures for market segmentation and analytics to support business growth outcomes.
• Regularly brief executives and create executive‑ready narratives and data‑driven recommendations in support of the business operating rhythm.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Computer Science, or Business/Marketing plus 8 years of semiconductor industry experience.
• Strong business and marketing analytics experience with a performance‑based track record.
• Critical thinking and ability to influence and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams (Sales, Finance, Marketing, Strategy, Management).
• Strong analytical and communication skills; adept at executive storytelling and data‑driven decisions.
