About the role
MBJ Network, a media production company covering Sports, Entertainment, Business and Public Affairs, is looking for a Staff Writer Intern based in Chicago, IL but working remotely. The internship lasts 3 to 6 months and is completely unpaid. It offers hands-on experience in journalism and entertainment through independent tasks, and completes interns receive executive letters of recommendation.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out research on topics of interest
- Write content for publication, including news reports, reviews and features
- Attend conferences, events or seminars
- Produce content such as news, reviews, features and columns; reviews cover electronics, music, video games and movies, while news and features cover science, academic, art and travel topics
Required profile
- Completed or pursuing a degree or certificate in journalism or a media-related field
- Ability to maintain a professional approach at all times
- Positive attitude during meetings
- Interest in various industries
