Sr. Project Manager, Construction

About the role

The University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Senior Project Manager to lead construction projects across campus. In this role you will coordinate architects, engineers, contractors and support staff to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Address construction phasing, contractor conflicts and contract compliance issues.
• Oversee contract submittal processing and ensure timely responses.
• Conduct regular progress meetings with contractors, designers and inspectors.
• Monitor implementation and maintenance of contractor safety programs.
• Review proposed contract changes and ensure proper interpretation of contract documents.
• Resolve Notices of Non‑Compliance and ensure corrective actions.
• Assess contractor schedules and monitor monthly submittals.
• Establish and evaluate internal controls and compliance with university policies.
• Provide training on controls, policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 7 years of construction project management experience.
• Demonstrated learning agility and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office software and relevant computer applications.
