Speech Language Pathologist – Inpatient Therapy (Kings Hwy)

About the role

The Speech Language Pathologist provides inpatient speech‑therapy evaluation and treatment based on physician orders, working closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve patient‑specific goals and facilitate safe discharge to post‑acute or home care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized speech‑therapy programs.
• Assess patient response, modify treatment plans, and document progress.
• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with hospital policies.
• Ensure treatment protocols align with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Adapt communication style to respect patient privacy and cultural needs.
• Travel between facilities as needed and perform other related duties.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology.
• Current state license (or eligibility/reciprocity) to practice as a Speech Pathologist.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• ASHA Clinical Competence certification within two years of hire.
• Ability to work in an inpatient setting and travel between facilities.
