Specialist, Engineering (WDA)

About the role

The Specialist, Engineering (WDA) supports the reliability, maintenance and continuous improvement of critical manufacturing equipment within a regulated environment. The role combines hands‑on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance planning and project coordination to ensure equipment availability and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead corrective and preventive maintenance activities, troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and guide technicians to restore operation efficiently.
• Implement reliability‑centered maintenance, analyze performance data and drive improvements in equipment reliability and maintainability.
• Manage critical spare‑part inventory, work with supply‑chain teams to mitigate part‑shortage risks.
• Support investigations of deviations, incidents and safety events, and develop effective CAPA actions.
• Coordinate equipment change controls and engineering projects, ensuring compliance with GMP, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Act as System Subject Matter Expert for assigned utilities (e.g., purified water, HVAC), leading investigations, change controls and lifecycle management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of experience in maintenance, reliability or manufacturing engineering within a GMP‑regulated environment.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device or similarly regulated industries is a plus.
