About the role
The Special Program Aid (R&SP) will work under supervision to provide general administrative and compliance support for the Research & Sponsored Projects department at Texas A&M International University. This temporary, fixed‑term position involves both office duties and research‑related data management.
Key responsibilities
- Enter, edit, analyze, and maintain research compliance data in databases.
- Assist with the design and upkeep of research compliance websites.
- Perform general office tasks such as answering phones, typing, filing, and photocopying.
- Provide clerical support including background research, record keeping, and assistance on special projects.
- Support faculty and staff training activities.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of general clerical or office experience.
- Not currently an undergraduate student at Texas A&M International University.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Knowledge of research compliance regulations gained through work or research experience.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Required skills
- Computer literate.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
