Spark Data Engineer with Apache Iceberg and Trino

About the role

Infosys is looking for a Spark Data Engineer with deep knowledge of Apache Iceberg and Trino to join its Retail, Consumer Goods and Logistics unit in Austin, TX. The role focuses on building and maintaining modern data pipelines that enable analytics and AI‑driven insights for global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Document and refine business requirements during the elicitation phase.
• Lead design discussions, capture decisions and guide the technical team.
• Develop, test and integrate new features into existing Spark applications, ensuring system stability.
• Perform code reviews, manage code repositories and apply best‑practice coding standards.
• Define and execute test strategies, analyse results and coordinate bug fixes.
• Create user training materials, documentation and support frameworks for new releases.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents, proposing preventive measures.
• Maintain detailed records of code changes, testing procedures and support activities.

Required profile

• Strong collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage end‑to‑end SDLC phases from requirement gathering to deployment.
• Proven skill in translating complex requirements into actionable development tasks.
• Passion for software design and hands‑on coding.
