Solutions Engineer & Customer Account Manager

About the role

Reconstruct is seeking a Solutions Engineer‑Customer Account Manager with a passion for the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) space and BIM experience. The role will guide customers from late‑stage sales hand‑off through SaaS onboarding, implementation, expansion and renewal, based in the Chicago area with significant travel.

Key responsibilities

• Customer onboarding: engage in successful sales hand‑off to optimize the first impression.
• Periodic health checks: stay in touch with customers on an ongoing basis.
• Account escalation: detect red flags early and resolve issues promptly.
• Customer advocacy: act as the voice‑of‑the‑customer within Reconstruct.
• Campaigns and renewals: identify opportunities to grow and upsell each customer.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (required) and residence in the Chicago area.
• Demonstrated passion for AEC and BIM related to large structures and capital assets.
• Willingness to travel overnight (20‑50% of workdays), including international trips, and wear a hard hat on site.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑player attitude.
• Self‑starter with a can‑do attitude.
