Software Project Manager – Electric Power Steering

About the role

Bosch is seeking a Software Project Manager to lead North American software development for Electric Power Steering (EPS) projects. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, align project plans, and ensure delivery of high‑quality embedded software.

Key responsibilities

• Lead software development activities within the project organization.
• Define, track and align project plans and release schedules.
• Drive technical clarifications to implement customer requirements and project targets.
• Interface with external and internal customers on all software‑related topics.
• Plan and lead development activities across multiple locations and regions.
• Support budget definition and ensure targets are met.
• Track software issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Prepare and obtain approval for software releases and quality gate reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in automotive embedded software development.
• 2+ years of experience in a project management or leadership role.
• Decision‑making ability in complex, dynamic situations.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and processes.
• Experience with Agile development methods.
• Hands‑on usage of project management and work‑item tracking tools.
• Experience in safety‑critical systems (ISO 26262) – preferred.
