Software Integration Engineer, Self-Driving

About the role

Applied Intuition’s Autonomy Integration team connects cutting‑edge autonomy software with real vehicles. The Software Integration Engineer will lead end‑to‑end integration of self‑driving solutions onto new passenger and industrial vehicle platforms, working both in the lab and on test tracks.

Key responsibilities

• Define system architecture and interface specifications for on‑vehicle compute, networking, power, and data paths.
• Design and implement drive‑by‑wire interfaces and integrate sensor suites (lidar, radar, camera) including drivers, time‑sync and calibration.
• Own the Linux software baseline, configuration management, and port control software to real‑time embedded targets.
• Build bench setups, develop on‑vehicle test procedures and automation to catch regressions early.
• Debug across the full software‑to‑actuator boundary and set standards for interfaces and tools.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership throughout the integration lifecycle.

Required profile

• Strong background in vehicle software integration and embedded systems.
• Experience designing compute topologies, network segmentation, and safety‑critical interfaces.
• Hands‑on experience with sensor integration, driver development, and real‑time execution.
• Proven ability to create test rigs, automation frameworks, and robust validation processes.
