Software Engineer - UI Developer

About the role

Alkira is seeking a Software Engineer focused on UI development to join its Frontend Engineering team in the Bay Area. You will work on the Cloud Services Exchange (CSX) platform, creating responsive web and mobile interfaces that enable enterprise networking functions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance web experiences using React, Redux, and Hooks.
• Build reusable component libraries and ensure scalability and reliability of the UI.
• Implement flexibility and customization to meet dynamic product requirements.
• Promote usability and accessibility across all user experiences.
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate REST APIs and relational databases such as Postgres.
• Maintain test coverage with end‑to‑end, integration, and unit tests.
• Manage own time and contribute effectively both independently and within a distributed team.

Required profile

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of professional experience with React/Redux or a modern frontend framework.
• Strong JavaScript programming and debugging skills, with solid fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and operating systems.
• Ability to work on‑site in San Jose and collaborate in a hybrid environment.
