Software Engineer – R&D (Hybrid)

About the role

ETAP is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join its R&D team in Irvine, CA. The role focuses on delivering scalable, high‑quality software where user experience is paramount, working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and QA teams to design and implement new features and enhancements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (no visa sponsorship).
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C++.
• Familiarity with C# and Visual Studio.
• Experience with front‑end UI engines such as Direct2D, Direct3D, or OpenGL.
• Experience with back‑end/database technologies like SQL and SQLite.
• Exposure to AI toolsets and solid design concepts.
