Software Engineer - Core Platform

About the role

Pave is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Core Platform team, the backbone of the company’s compensation intelligence platform. You will design, build, and maintain critical services such as user authentication, authorization, and the data infrastructure that powers real‑time compensation insights.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own core backend services, APIs, and abstractions that enable rapid product delivery.
• Build and maintain authentication and authorization systems.
• Design and implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models supporting compensation analytics.
• Collaborate across product and engineering teams to solve cross‑product challenges.
• Lead large‑scale technical projects with high ambiguity and multiple stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience building data‑intensive applications.
• Strong product intuition and ability to create generalized platform solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with data infrastructure, pipelines, and modeling; ML/AI exposure a plus.
• Proven track record of leading complex technical initiatives.
• Execution‑driven mindset with a focus on maintainability and scalability.
