Software Development Engineer II – EC2 Core & Outposts Console

About the role

Join the AWS Cloud Experience team as a Software Development Engineer II, focusing on the EC2 Core and Outposts Console. You will create modern, high‑performance web interfaces that help millions of AWS customers manage their compute and network resources efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement intuitive, accessible, and performant UI components using React, TypeScript, and related frontend frameworks.
• Build AI‑assisted, natural‑language interactions to simplify complex workflows within the console.
• Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and service teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Own features from design through implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.
• Monitor console performance, analyze metrics, and apply optimizations to ensure consistent behavior across all AWS regions.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, respond to tickets, maintain runbooks, and automate routine tasks.
• Mentor peers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities for the console experience.
